This is a famous chef, which opened this annex 3 years ago.
The chef: Christian Constant, previous chef of the Ritz and the Crillon, who already possesses the restaurants "Le Violon d'Ingres" and "Café Constant".
The annex: "Les Cocottes" - charming restaurant with its atmosphere of modern canteen, high tables and counter.
There, the chef Philippe Cadeau harmonizes tradition and modernity with panache.
All the flavours of our grandmothers's time are revisited with an contemporary touch.
All the dishes are cooked out of Staub casseroles (cast iron enamel oven-to-table casseroles famous for retaining heat and flavour. Apparently it's something to do with their smooth enamel bottoms).
Regarding the staff, he is more than attentive and the prices more than reasonable: Euros 15€ for a stewpan, Euros 9.00 for a starter...
Our advice? Test the scampi ravioles, muslin of artichoke, they are simply exquisite. No hesitation for the dessert: succumb for the chocolate tart of Christian Constant... outstanding!
What can we say more? that this restaurant is situated at only 15 minutes by walk far from our hotel.
Be careful, they do not take booking: "just good fresh food all day when you want it".
