Witness the Dynamic Vision of an Equestrian Theater Impresario

Bartabas is the stage name of a well-known impresario who is perhaps most famous for his equestrian shows. From now until May 11, 2014, visitors to Paris can see the producer's latest equestrian creation, entitled 'Golgota.' Performed at the Théâtre du Rond-Point, 'Golgota' brings the dynamism and excitement of Bartabas's artistry to a stage right by the Champs-Elysées. That makes the show perfect for guests staying at any of the Sister Hotels Champs-Elysées.

For the first time in history, Bartabas presents his vision on the stage of the Théâtre du Rond-Point. For 'Golgota,' the impressario has teamed up with talented flamenco dancer Andrés Marin. In this way, horse riding and dancing are combine into one art form, expressed in unison onstage. It may be difficult to imagine horses galloping around a stage in the luxurious Champs-Elysées neighborhood, but this is no ordinary equestrian display.

Since the 1980s, Bartabas has had a mission to elevate equestrian theater to a high art form, and he lunges one step closer to his goal with 'Golgota.' The music consists of motets — a choral form of classical music popular since the Middle Ages — sung by one voice. Tomás Luis de Victoria lends his countertenor voice to the scene, accompanied by a cornet and a lute. Four horses and a donkey fill the stage with power and grace along with Bartabas and Marin.

Fans of animals and theater can get ready for a night of entertainment at the Théâtre du Rond-Point. Tickets for the show can be purchased online. This is definitely a unique experience for those who want to see a different side of Paris.
