Two Masters of Dance Come Together at the Opera Garnier

From December 3 until December 31, 2012, two masters of ballet are coming together in an elegant and impressive performance playing at the Opéra Garnier. William Forsythe and Trisha Brown have both made names for themselves in the dance world. Now they are coming to Paris to share their gifts with both Parisians and visitors.

The performance will be composed of four ballet scenes -- three conceived by Forsythe and one conceived by Brown. These scenes have been created specifically for this collaborative project. The goal of Forsythe and Brown's collaboration is to mix various dance genres, allowing them to integrate with and respond to each other. As a result, the performance will also represent a journey through the hearts and minds of two major choreographers of contemporary time.

While Forsythe is known for his incisive language and technical virtuosity, Brown is recognized for her post-modern vision and ethereal movements. Because these two approaches are fundamentally different, the work produced between the choreographers is exciting and compelling. Guests staying at one of the Sister Hotels Champs Elysées can therefore see the evolution of dance right before their very eyes.

As a treat for the New Year, there is a special night planned for December 31, 2012 starting at 7:30 p.m. Spectators can therefore start off their celebrations with a rousing and innovative dance show. Tickets for all of the performances can be booked online on the website of the Opéra Garnier. Tickets range from 10 euros to 92 euros, depending on the seat placement.
