The Festival Days Off Brings Rock Music to the Salle Pleyel

In July 2013, from the 1st to the 9th of the month, a musical festival will be coming to the Cité de la Musique and the Salle Pleyel, two major performance centers in the City of Light. This means that guests staying at one of the Sister Hotels Champs-Elysées can enjoy a performance close to their rooms at the Salle Pleyel or head to the Cité de la Musique in the 19th arrondissement, where they can enjoy a different part of the city.

The music festival is called the Festival Days Off, and it has been rocking Parisians since 2010. With the fourth edition of the festival, musicians such as Beck, Chilly Gonzales and Patrick Watson will share their talents with an enthusiastic audience. Inviting artists from rock and contemporary genres, the Festival Days Off always brings the cutting edge in music to those who wish to discover both current stars and the next big thing.

Previous editions of the festival have included big names such as Cat Power and Damien Rice. It was in 2011 that Cat Power played to a full house at the Salle Pleyel on the Rue du faubourg Saint-Honoré in the 8th arrondissement.

This year, the festival begins on July 1, 2013 at 8 p.m. at the Cité de la Musique. There, a special acoustic performance by Band of Horses, followed by the group Lambchop, will kick off the festival. The second night of the festival will feature the debut of the events at the Salle Pleyel. That night, Lou Doillon will be playing at the Salle Pleyel after an opening band plays at 8 p.m. At the Cité de la Musique that night, major music superstar Beck will be showing off in a solo acoustic performance.

Other performances at the Salle Pleyel include Yael Naim & David Donatien on July 4, Chilly Gonzales on July 5, and Patrick Watson with the Nation Orchestra of Ile-de-France on July 7.
