    The Musée Maillol Paris is displaying an exhibition that puts under the spotlight a great selection of works from the popular American art movement: Pop Art.

    About the Movement

    Pop art movement sprung in a significant way in the 1960s, in the United States. It emerged as a response to the expressionist movement and was best known for criticizing the American society and particularly its way of life.

    About the exhibit

    Covering about sixty masterpieces from the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art of New York, which is one of the most important collections of Pop pieces around the world, the exhibit puts on view diverse forms of artworks varying from paintings and prints to many interesting sculptures.
