Paris Goes Green with Famous Musicians and Fun Activities
For the second time ever, the We Love Green festival is bringing together musicians, artists, entrepreneurs and thought leaders who all want to encourage the world to think green. This festival was held for the first time last year, and now guests staying at one of the Sister Hotels Champs Elysees can enjoy the second edition from September 14 until September 16, 2012. Plus, the festival is taking place in a park known for its lovely greenery, the Parc de Bagatelle.
Music stars such as Norah Jones, Camille, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Breakbot will perform throughout the three-day festival, along with about a dozen other musical acts. Their performances will help to animate the festival grounds, which will also be hosting many other activities centered on green living and innovation.
These activities include art and photography exhibitions, film showings and fun workshops for children. All of these events have been conceived with the goal of increasing awareness about the importance of the environment and ecologically friendly lifestyles.
In addition, the festival is organizing food events during which visitors can try green and organic foods, perhaps for the first time. Of course, since this is France, wine tastings are on the agenda. A raw wine bar will enable participants to try a variety of wines that are 100% organic and natural. Other organic foods on the menu include cupcakes, tarts, sandwiches, and a selection of meats, cheeses and vegetables.
With so much to do, participants at the We Love Green festival will be able to see that being green is not about sacrificing, it is about coming together and finding a community to share special moments and values with. Tickets for the concerts can be purchased online on the festival's website (in French). On Friday, the concerts go from 7 p.m. to midnight. On Saturday and Sunday, they go from 4 p.m. to midnight.
