Re-evaluate Ker-Xavier Roussel at Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny Paris

Ker Xavier Roussel is an artist often overlooked when it comes to major shows and retrospectives. Part of this is down to the criticism of his later work and its themes compared to earlier painting. There is also a general lack of public awareness compared to other major names of the late 19th century.

The Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny is currently trying set this straight. This massive exhibition brings together around 100 pieces from the artist to showcase his talent and methods across his lifetime. This means the more well-known area of his mythically-inspired paintings as well as some of the later works and engravings.

This is a chance to not only get more acquainted with the work but also to re-evaluate those old opinions of the later period. “Ker-Xavier Roussel. Private Garden, Dreamed Garden” continues until the 11th of November. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn more about this artist.
